Grand Bargain? Let's start of with some little bargains first...

Can Obama Break D.C. Gridlock If Re-elected

The short answer to this is no, he cannot.  Not unless the Democrats take back the House and retain the Senate.  The only time "Obama" got anything passed is when the Democrats controlled both houses of Congress.  I put the scare quotes around "Obama" because, in reality, he didn't get anything done, it was all Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid that pushed everything through.

If we looked at this "Grand Bargain" issue as a sports analogy, would it make sense that we're expecting these players to go out and run a marathon if they aren't even walking together at this time?  If neither side is working at developing the relationships necessary to reach across the isle and get things done, it's facetious to think that all of a sudden they are going to craft a "Grand Bargain" together.

If you'd wanted to be a good father, you probably shouldn't have run for president.

All BS aside, I'm a good father. I've always put our kids first and I've always said "you only get to do this once, so do it right the first time" That being said, if you're POTUS, in my book, that kind of, sort of, should take precedence over the whole father thing. Actually, if you want to be a really good father, you probably shouldn't run for office and expose your kids to all that crap.

Look, I'm all for spending quality time with the kids.  But, with all the things we have wrong with our Country, you should probably focus on the job and less on tucking the kids in at night.

Obama says fatherhood trumps schmoozing

Also, the part about he's spending the hours between 6 - 9 with his family?  Look, I've got a teen-aged daughter at home now and some nights if our interactions are more than a passing "hey" she'll yell at me "why are you bothering me so much!".  Please, this is bullshit.  He's down in the basement practicing bowling and basketball.
